Crystal cleansing: Place the crystal in the sunlight or under moonlight submerged in salt water upto 4 hours to cleanse previous energy off of it.

Intention Setting: Remember you have the crystal for a purpose and it can transform things around you. Holding the crystal in your hand, with clarity and concentration set an intention or a purpose for the crystal to fulfill. Every time you look at it, you will be reminded of its purpose.

Amethyst can be placed in the corner of a room to rid it of negative vibrations.

Can also be used for protection against fear and feelings of guilt.
